? JALAYA is harmonizing the rhythmic euphoria of symbiotic unity and means divinity of water in sanskrit.
Jalaya has been pushing the boundaries of modern Bass Music with a dark mysterious emotional tribal edge and his live performance with electronic drum pads. It comes as no surprise that he started his musical career as a drummer playing in several bands. His background of versatile sound is what really gives him an ear that few possess. With his broad spectrum of styles of former bands ranging from Punk/Grunge to Funk, Reggae, Blues, Jazz, Alternative, Classic Rock, Indie, and Metal. Giving him a masterful sonic pallet that influences both his music and his performance. Which led him to expand and blend genres in a unique manner. His time in the Bay Area has gained him considerable recognition locally landing himself a residency with Vital Events the creators of Wobbleland. He has played shows throughout the west coast and across the country. Jalaya has played renowned events and festivals like Toxic Summer, What the Festival, Serenity Gathering, Santa Cruz Music Festival, Organic Fest and more. He will soon be performing at Emissions and Stilldream. Jalaya has played alongside incredibly influential artists in the Bass Music scene like Liquid Stranger, Eprom, Zeke Beats, Griz, Bleep Bloop, Barely Alive, Virtual Riot, and Odesza to name a few. ? SMOAKLAND consists of Anthony Battaglia and Harrison Hays. They met in college back in 2011 and ever since then were hitting shows together. Once they both moved back home (Anthony -> Bay Area and Harrison -> to Arizona) they started making trips to visit one another. Anthony started pursuing producing heavily and whenever Harrison would visit they’d collaborate on tracks together which helped nurture their relationship for years.
They’ve played shows all over America bringing heavy bass sound with an old school vibe.
Due to such positive feedback from their peers, Smoakland became a more serious project. They both pick up where one lacks, whether its production skills, marketing, or just having an ear for a specific tune. “We look forward to sharing our music perspective and Bay Area flavor.” - Smoakland

We are honored to be able to showcase Soundpieces on Monarch's custom horn-loaded Void Acoustics Sound System, the only one of its kind on the West Coast!!! When you descend to the club's dance floor you are immersed in a world of complete euphony generated by the venue's four protruding tuba-like enclosures. Without a dead spot in the room, it's easily the best place in the city to hear the biggest sound.
