Sea Caves is a five-piece indie rock band from Portland, OR. They will be playing at the Make-Out Room on Thursday, March 26th with Lavender Blush and The Quilters. The show starts at 7:00 pm and there is a $10 cover.
Sea Caves just released their newest album, Across the Water, with releases featured in Glide Magazine, Atwood Magazine, OPB, and local magazines and weeklies around the Pacific Northwest. The newest album features a new singer, Sydney Rohrs, who also brings a second flute to the mix--joining the finger-picked electric guitar and flute of Shiloh Halsey, the intricate rhythms of Cameron Jones (Physics and ex-Pinback), and the interweaving keyboard and bass lines that have become an integral part of their signature sound. Sea Caves is now on tour through CA, AZ, UT, ID, and OR.
"It's one part Iron & Wine and one part Fleet Foxes with a dashing of Sufjan Stevens all rolled into one." -The Revue
"Last year, the band dropped Across the Water, a dynamic record that darts frequently toward more progressive, experimental rock territory. The electric guitar leads throughout, with deft riffs the rest of the band operates beautifully around." -Willamette Week
"It's impossible not to become mesmerized by stand-out tracks like "Hieroglyphs" and "Dart." -Portland Mercury
