Come create a Living Altar in our Sculpture Class.
What are Living Altars?
LIVING ALTARS are sculptures that honor the elements that give us life;
Fire, Water, Earth and Air.
Living Altars are a space for you to create an intentional sculpture that represents your relationship to these elements.
Living Altars are about celebrating life.
What will this sculpting class be about?
This class will be an overview of the magical basics of hand building with clay and the techniques for success. We will learn techniques such as:
creating slabs
scoring
attaching
creating volume
drying properties of clay
Any much more!
Who is this class for?
ANY BODY READY TO CREATE! This class is geared to those with no prior clay experience and also open to those who would like to continue to learn more advanced shaping and hand building techniques, but have not worked in clay for some time!
But wait there's more ...
This class will hold an element of intentionality for creating a sculpture that will house fire, water, earth and air. We will be making single fire scuplture that can reside outdoor or indoor and allows your plants to breath.
Each class will be incorporating the sun, so we will be sculpting outside and inside. Bring clothes you don't mind getting covered in clay and optional: a sun hat + sun glasses.
Come with an open attitude about creating and failing; creating and succeeding; creating and failing; creating and succeeding. This class is about having fun with clay , learning about yourself and overall enjoying life in the process. We can't wait to create with you!
When can you come create?
Every Friday 9:30am-12:30pm
- and -
Sunday 9:30am- 12:30pm
There are only 4 seats per class and will only be going on till May 13!
