Join the Seymour Marine Discovery Center as they present another installment in their Science Sundays series. Featuring Michael Sutton, Vice President of Pacific Flyway and the National Audubon Society, this lecture explores how humans kill millions of sharks in global fisheries. Michael will discuss the status of shark populations around the world, the role of the global trade in shark fins, and what California and other jurisdictions have done to prevent the killing of sharks and protect sharks worldwide.
