Come to the Seymour Marine Discovery Center as they present another installment in their Science Sundays series. "Carnivores and the Fabric of Nature," this presentation features James A. Estes, a Research Biologist for the Institute of Marine Sciences at UC Santa Cruz, as he discusses the effects of large predator loss on ecosystems around the world. He will also describe the patterns of loss of large-bodied carnivores, explain why it matters, and discuss what must be done if we wish to preserve and restore the large carnivores to the natural world.
