ANUE NAHKI hailing from the Parish of St. Mary Jamaica, Anue is an independent artist and his love for the conscious sound and organic roots music developed from his upbringing at home. Strong Rastafari principles and cultural practices were maintained, taught and exemplified.
He started officially recording at Tuff Gong International Studios in 2017 after over five years of studying the music industry, promoting artistes and launching a record Label 'Future Youths Productions". Since then he has released numerous singles and videos including "Wen I Rise" premiered by Reggaeville.com in 2019 and "The Prophecy" and "Real People" in 2023.
He as been featured in a number of local and international publications and interviews including , The Jamaica Observer, Jamaica National Broacasting television channel, CVM at Sunrise, and World A Reggae.com. He has also been featured in the Jamaica Star, Ghanaian Reggae News magazine, Preedis Big Yard Studio interview that aired on Hype TV, Flow TV, Caribvision CMC, and GT Caribbean Flow from Antigua and Bermuda.
"I am a singer and deejay but my music is different in the sense that it's not straight dancehall or reggae. It's a blend of all the music that I've been exposed to as a young man who grew up in the Caribbean. It also embraces the philosophy and teachings of Emperor Haile Selassie and Marcus Garvey."
