Sariyah Idan, best known for her solo theater show "Homeless In Homeland" about Jewish identity and justice for Palestine reviewed as "a dramatic tour-de-force", Sariyah is internationally touring singer, actor and writer. Jazz trained, hip-hop educated and influenced by music of her Jewish roots, she blends musical styles into an alternative sound seasoned with soul and passionately hopeful longing while riffing on topics from romance to politics. Akin to Nneka and Amy Winehouse, Sariyah takes inspiration from a range of artists and has shared stages with notable Bay Area artists Aima the Dreamer, La Gente, Jordan and the RituaL and legends Lee “Scratch” Perry and Pete Seeger. The night of March 28th will feature songs from her EP "Deeper Than Skin", other originals and a cover or two.
