The Santa Cruz Storytelling Festival celebrates its second year with an unforgettable line-up of Storytellers from Santa Cruz and the Bay Area performing on the enchanting Outdoor Redwood Stage at the Santa Cruz Waldorf School, Saturday and Sunday, August 24 & 25th.
Saturday, August 24th – Come early Saturday night and picnic or play in the meadow at the Santa Cruz Waldorf School before the stories and live music start at 7pm. Bring blankets or pillows and snuggle up close to the stage and let your imagination take you to magical realms! Saturday night features the myths, and legends of Sirena Andrea, Michael Katz, Erica-Lann Clark, Sage Lavine and Glenn Kazmerski. Musical interludes provided by Lakshmi Devi. Listeners 9 and up are welcome.
Talya’s Kitchen will be serving organic raw treats & tea at intermission.
Sunday, August 25th – Sunday’s Storytelling events include a CHILDREN'S Show 11am-Noon.
If you’re called to tell yourself, you can share a 5 minute story during the COMMUNITY STORY SWAP from Noon till 1pm.
The weekend closes out with a Storytelling PLAYSHOP with Sirena Andrea for teachers, parents, and performers of all kinds (adults only). Learn professional tips on how to capture an audience
