San Francisco Conscious Dating Event: Real Talk Fishbowl

SEE EVENT DETAILS
WHAT IS INTIMACY TO YOU?There are thousands of books, theories, therapists and coaches telling you how you should approach relationships. Why not go to the source?

What if you could be a fly on the wall as the opposite sex talks candidly about intimacy, gender, and dating?

What if you could shamelessly ask exactly what you wanted to know about being a partner, a lover or friend?

What if you could speak freely about what you want most to a room of eligible singles?

LET'S HAVE THE CONVERSATION. NO EXPERTS, JUST REAL PEOPLE.GUIDED BY YOU, THIS GETS AS DEEP AND JUICY AS YOU'RE WILLING TO LET IT.

STEP BEYOND the ordinary rules and expectations of relating, and into deeper levels of honesty and understanding. The January Fishbowl is an event series for single folks to share, be playful, and connect with other awesome people bold enough to join. SHOW UP. Ask the questions you've always wanted answers to, be willing to hear something you didn't expect, share what's true for you, and courageously let it all unfold... the magic might follow. ARE YOU WILLING?

Come with real questions, expect to get real answers.

Who Are You?

Single person interested in partnership or dating

Ready for a circle of people on your level

Bored or confused by the current dating scene

Tired of endlessly scrolling through online profiles

Interested in connecting with others of your same gender in a meaningful way

Willing to throw out your check list and meet the mystery

How It Works:The "Fishbowl" is a simple method for open, honest dialogue. One group occupies the inner circle and speaks, while the outer group listens and holds space. The outer circle anonymously creates the questions the inner circle responds to, based on a chosen topic. Only those who are willing, sit in the inner circle. Facilitators open and close the circle, maintain guidelines, and keep the Fishbowl moving. When the inner circle is complete, the outer circle has space to share reflections and insights. Followed by activities, and free time to meet and mingle. All levels of experience welcome.*Fishbowl Topic: What Is Intimacy To You?We all want the same thing, we don't all want it the same way. How do we invite connection and ignite romance to create the relationships we really want?Part 1 - men in the fishbowlPart 2 - women in the fishbowlIn Part 1, the men will be in the 'fishbowl' responding to the women's anonymous questions. In Part 2, the roles switch. This is a participatory event, guided by you, not a panel of experts preaching predictable advice. This gets as wild, meaningful, messy and juicy as you're willing to let it!Who We Are & Why We're Doing This:Emily Frost & Jed Purses are a married couple living in the Bay Area, CA. We know so many amazing single people looking for their partner, and are just as confused as everyone else about how such incredible people are still searching. Somehow we've been given the gift of finding each other, and wish to return the favor by hosting events that inspire the fullness of our humanity to meet. The love we're after is possible AND not perfect or what we expected. We have 10+ years combined experience in transformational co-counseling and coaching programs, as well as countless hours of professional and therapeutic work, separately and together. Our facilitation style is skillful, playful, and deep. We bring our full selves to the circle, always. We are completely imperfect and can't wait to meet you! More about Emily & Jed...
