The five piece band makes music on an art farm in Northern California, where they have created their very own brand of psychedelic, dark circus rock. After a few different incarnations, members of Bay Area band, Mære, have come together again to form Crook. Under this new moniker, Daniel Crook, Burak Yarebakan, Vince Gutierrez and Timothy Oakley have created a cinematic fusion of rock and roll and soul inspired by artists ranging from the vocal stylings of Nina Simone and James Blake to the musical stylings of artists like Sigur Ros and Queen of the Stone Age. Though their influences are far reaching, their sound is unique to itself.
