In collaboration with Symphonia Caritas, The Gubbio Project presents a night of classical music in support of our sacred sleep programs. Gubbio provides spaces for homeless people to rest during the weekday in the churches of St. Boniface in the Tenderloin and of St. John in the Mission.
The symphony will be performing Adagietto from Symphony no. 5 by Gustav Mahler; Set of Lieder with Kindra Scharich as soprano; Songs by Schubert, Grieg, Brahms, and Mahler; Symphony no. 40, W.A. Mozart.
The event will be held at St. John’s (1661 15th St.) on Friday, November 9th, with a reception at 6:30 p.m. and concert at 7:30. Tickets are $30 for General Admission, $50 for Front Row Seats, and the option to purchase tickets for one of our homeless guests is also available.
