Rykarda Parasol
Parasol describes her music as rooted in classic sounds of both pop and rock including psychedelic, Motown, murder ballad, folk, with a touch of French 60s pop. (RIYL the Velvet Underground, Serge Gainsbourg, Patti Smith, Jacques Dutronc, and Lana Del Rey among others).
Her long-awaited 5th album, "Tuesday Morning", was released October 24, 2023 to high acclaim. You can find it on most streaming services as well as Bandcamp.
Parasol is originally from San Francisco where she started her musical endeavors and was a fixture on the scene then later focused on Europe. Now back in the Bay Area, she and her live band are set on getting out AND getting the rest of SF out of the house and back into clubs. Her live band includes both her longtime bassist and engineering-mixing guru Mark Pistel and drummer Danny Luehring. As well as Roger Rocha on guitar and Michael Shaw on keys.
