Roy Rogers is considered a modern-day slide guitar master. And indeed, he is a virtuoso. He's been the go-to slide guitarist for many greats (Bonnie Raitt, Santana, Steve Miller) as he can meld blues and country traditions into his own sound. He is also quite the songwriter and producer, and has been nominated for eight Grammy awards for both production and performance. His most recent album, 2011's Twisted Tales, was a collaboration with the late Ray Manzarek of the Doors. It's a driving bluesy, rootsy Southern-rock album. Rogers performs at Club Fox with a full band backing him. (Amulya Datla)
