More info:
Rosie Plaza
Based in Oakland, CA, Rosie Plaza developed a highly original sound that shifts between 90s to mid-aughts indie rock and 80s post-punk. Complete with angular guitar lines, and driving bass and drums, the trio writes songs that are at the same time sentimental and nostalgically angsty. Their music harkens back to a time when the UK dominated alternative airwaves with danceable anthems such as The Chameleon's, "Don't Fall" and New Order's classic, "Ceremony," while recalling more relatively current musical comparisons such as the Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, Silversun Pickups, and Cloud Nothings.
Their highly anticipated debut album, "Off/On" is slated to be released digitally and on vinyl on February 1st, 2020. Come celebrate with us at El Rio!

The Trims
Tired of being an unsatisfied fan at shows, "The Trims" founder (Gabe Maciel) set out to start his own band, a band that would "trim" out all of the bad music he was hearing in the scene and, instead, focus solely on writing good and catchy songs to perform. This philosophy of "trimming out the bad music" rang so true with Maciel, that he decided to name his new project "The Trims."
Hailing from San Jose, Ca, The Trims have a loyal fanbase and buzz that can easily carry them beyond their locality and into a national spotlight. With a strong sound reminiscent of early U2, The Strokes, The Cure, The Killers and the Brit-Pop of the 90's, while also conjuring the swagger of artists like Joy Division and The Doors, "The Trims" maintain a pop friendly sound and delivery which invites music lovers of all genres into the fold.

3LH
Three Legged Horse consists of drummer Kevin Carranza, Guitarist/Singer Rafa Heredia, and the newest edition to the family, Favian Vega! Pretty much 3 bestfriends doing what they love making music and playing shows! With several new influences the bands music consists of punk, and a hint of ska! The band's current goal is to get a large enough fan base so we could start booking larger venues! Playing music for people is one of our strongest passions, the other would be writing music! We're looking to play everywhere and anywhere we can! As young musicians we get looked down on by many, but our energy filled live performances usually leave people thinking otherwise. 3LH wants to make the most out of our music, hopefully you all enjoy it!
