Roem Baur has seen his "star steadily increasing" (The Examiner) as a new emerging artist from the San Francisco music scene. Last March he was handpicked out of 3600+ bands by Counting Crow's frontman Adam Duritz and music blogger turned television producer Ryan Spaulding, to play the “Outlaw Roadshow” during SXSW 2013. His “blistering” performances, a powerful mix of soulful rock and blues were “blowing minds” of all in attendance, according to Duritz.
No overnight success, Roem has played thousands of shows in a career that spans 4 continents. With roots in opera, he studied in school as a lyrical tenor before breaking the mold to become an award-winning singer and songwriter (Elly and MAMA Awards.) His new "boisterous" (Bay Guardian) full band EP "ROEM & The Revival" marks his first studio recording and was recorded with GRAMMY nominated producer/engineer Damien Lewis (Rihanna, Katy Perry, Keane).
