On September 8th, four days before the Global Climate Action Summit held in San Francisco this year (held in Paris last year), thousands of people are gathering to demand that local leaders commit to a fast and fair transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. 350 Bay Area strongly encourages everyone who is able to join us in a march of protest in solidarity with those that will take place in thousands of cities and towns across six continents.
There’s no time to waste, RSVP here to attend the Rise for Climate, Jobs, & Justice march on September 8th.
Here are the final details for the march:
What: Rise for Climate Jobs & Justice California
When: Saturday, September 8th, 10am Line-up, 11am march
Where: Beginning at Embarcadero Plaza, we’ll march down Market St. ending at Civic Center
What: Marching, Art, Music, Resource Fair, Speakers, and much more
Logistics: For more information on transportation, housing, and logistics, visit our website here.
Our elected officials cannot treat the current climate catastrophes today with a business-as-usual approach. There are too many lives and communities at stake, we need real climate leadership now.
