Connect with the community through art making, and admire the murals that will be celebrated throughout the city. This project draws from Tenderloin's history to celebrate the legendary Black Hawk Night Club, a jazz venue that was one of the only places where mixed race audiences could sit together, countering the nationwide racial segregation of the time.

We will record and playback our tunes by punching holes in paper strips, and play them in the music box- just like an old time player piano. Have fun creating small "orchestra" compositions and unique music! At the end, we will document our lovely projects share them with friends and family on social media.
