Justin Torres has been collecting records since the '80s and has been looking for Bay Area Soul records over the last 20 years. Whether it’s going door to door through various cities in the Bay Area, tracking down producers, writers, engineers, club owners, and djs from the '60s and '70s or digging through thrift stores and flea markets, Justin has put in many hours to not only find the music itself, but to track down the stories behind them and the history of the local Bay Area Soul scene.
