The South Bay is home to some great cutting-edge electronic music. There is RetoXx every Monday at Johnny V's, SJ Bass Club once a month at the Playhouse and, since early 2011, the Return of the Boom Zap, presented by none other than Goldenchyld of the Bangerz. The night takes place at the Cardiff Lounge every second and fourth Sunday. Goldenchyld, Dubstantial, Eni, R-Cade, AJ-Orbit and other DJs will take turns playing some of the newest, most innovative electronic music and hip-hop beats out there: glitch, dubstep and a wealth of crazy micro-subgenres.
