REGULAR LINE is international collaborative program presented by The Laundry SF and curated by Zuzana Novotova Godalova from Platform 1?12, Topolcany, Slovakia.
Five Slovak selected artists and designers will spend a few weeks in USA and the result of their artwork is presented at the exhibition. All works are site specific reacting to new environment and experiences from narrative drawings, films, animation, ontemporary design and font design. Workshop "How to transfer Slovak folk themes into contemporary design” will be led by two of them - designers Michaela Bendarova and Ondrej Job.

Maria Corejova
Painter, graphic designer and cultural activist. She is a Fulbright scholarships alumna (Art Institute of Boston, 2002) and was selected for several art residency programs (USA, Europe). She exhibits individually and collectively in Slovakia and abroad. She was a co-founder and member of artistic collectives Burundi and 13 kubikov collectives (active in 2004-2009). While she is considered as one of the most successful Slovak contemporary artists, her medium expands into the graphic design as well. She has designed and illustrated a number of publications and books.

Michaela Bednarova
Artist and textile designer, she is a founder and the main designer of the Slovak clothing brand Puojd, established in 2008. She reflects current Slovakia and brings a positive view of her own country. Brand Puojd produces gift items made in local companies and clothing collection, which emphasizes textile design clothing. Michaela has worked and collaborated across Europe and she is behind the project Colorcode awarded the National Prize in Production Design, 2015.

Svetlana Fialova
Uses mainly pure painter‘s line in her work and she is inspired by the current cultural subcultures and is interested in topics like a cliché, boredom or the effect of the internet on society. She studied in Kosice, Prague and Bratislava and graduated with PhD in Arts. Svetlana exhibits nationally and internationally (Paris, Vienna, Budapest and London). She was the finalist for the 2011 Painting of the Year Award and the Art Critics Award of Young Painting in Prague, and was nominated for the Essl Art Award CEE and she is the winner of British Jerwood Drawing Prize in 2013.

Ondrej Job
Type and graphic designer currently living in Bratislava, Slovakia. He holds MA degree in graphic design from Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, (2008) and in type design from TypeMedia masters program at The Royal Academy of Arts (KABK) in The Haag, the Netherlands (2009). In 2009 Ondrej started his type foundry and graphic design studio Setup with focus on designing retail and custom typefaces, lettering, corporate identity, and editorial design for both print and screen.

Andrej Kolencik
Film director and visual artist, nicknamed Admiral. He studied graphic design at School of Applied Arts and graduated from Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava in the field of animation. He studied also at RITS in Brussels during his Erasmus studies and made intership at Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. Today Andrej freelances as a film director of fiction, documentary and also animation films, music videos and commercials. As a visual artist he deals with illustration. He is a co-founder and program director of well known international animation festival Fest An?a. In 2014 he was selected for Berlinale Talents. In 2015 he started his own production company called Admiral Films.
