Join us for activities and hiking from 11am to 1pm!
Start your trip to the redwoods with some fun pre-hike activities to learn about the importance of redwood forests. Then join us for a hike through one of the few remaining Old Growth Coast Redwood Groves in California. Learn more about the incredible resilience of these plant communities and find out what it can teach us about our own communities.
This out-and-back ~1 mile hike will take about one hour. You'll have the opportunity to walk the length of a redwood on flat ground and see the amazing diversity of life that lives in the redwood canopy. Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes, carry water, and snacks.
Pre-hike activities begin at the Azalea Day Use Area, just past the park entrance kiosk off Sir Francis Drake Blvd. The hike will follow along portions of the Pioneer Tree Trail.
