Samuel P. Taylor State Park

City , Park / Open Space

Samuel P. Taylor State Park has over 2,700 acres of wooded countryside in the steep rolling hills of Marin County north of San Francisco. The park features a unique contrast of coast redwoods groves and open grassland.

From San Francisco, cross the Golden Gate Bridge and drive north on highway 101 for 7.5 miles. Take the Sir Francis Drake Blvd exit west towards San Anselmo, the drive about 15 miles to the main entrance to the Samuel P. Taylor park called Camp Taylor. But, don't turn in here. Continue on Sir Francis Drive for another mile beyond the main park entrance. We will be meeting in the dirt pullout on the left side of the road across from Devil's Gulch Horse Camp.
