In October 2019, Artist David Aaron Smith came to Gardenville Station, a unique design/build community fostering craftspeople, artists, designers and creative small businesses in the heart of the Bayview, to make portraits showing a community of people and things being pushed to the side and the people who are holding it intact. Now, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and the newly ignited discussion on race and privilege in America, the Drawing Room Annex has generously given us a chance to let this work be seen and heard. Unfortunately, we may not hold any official receptions for this exhibition although the gallery will be open Thursday-Saturday, 12-4pm, and by appointment.
