Radiator Hospital, Try The Pie, Sim Castro, Jenna Marx

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Chromatic Coffee (see times)
When punk rockers go acoustic, the results are often more powerful than when the amps are at full blast. Philadelphia's Radiator Hospital, who are great as a full band, is downright intense as only lead singer Sam Cook-Parrott and his guitar. You can hear those little details, like the crackling in his voice, which punctuates the emotion of the songs. Additionally, three more punks-gone-acoustic will be playing: Try the Pie (local Christine Tupou from Sourpatch), Sim Castro (Albert Square) and San Francisco's Jenna Marx (Joyride). It'll be a treat to hear their songs of yearning and heartbreak stripped down to their bare essence. (Aaron Carnes)
