Rachel Mazer

“(It's) the kind of song you’d hear in a commercial, then whip out your Shazam app in a flash to find out what it is and who is singing it—Mazer’s voice is commanding, and “Open Heart” is a fresh take on studio jazz and soul music.”
- Paste Magazine

"An impressively multi-sided, soulfully expressive debut from Rachel Mazer marks the start of what should be a longstanding solo career for the singer-songwriter."
- Pop Matters

Rachel Mazer is a retro pop singer songwriter based in Los Angeles, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. Rachel started her music career as a sought after and skilled freelance multi-instrumentalist (tenor saxophone, bass, guitar) performing with and supporting many artists and bands. Since the release of her first single ‘Is It So Wrong’ at the end of 2018, people have begun to recognize Mazer as a solo artist and buzz of her original music has been growing. Since releasing her debut album 'How Do We Get By' in March 2019 which she crowdfunded $20,000 to make, Mazer’s music has been praised and written about by dozens of music publications including Paste Magazine, American Songwriter, and LA Music Blog. This ten track album has been compared to the likes of Lake Street Dive, Lianne La Havas, and Sarah Bareilles. In summer 2019, Mazer will be touring in Europe supporting Moorea Masa, as well as playing shows up the midwest and east coast.
