Live Concert at Taverna Aventine! On tour from Los Angeles this week - Rachel Mazer and Julian Allen will be performing this Friday. Rachel Mazer is a Los Angeles based singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (saxophone, bass, guitar). In early 2019, Rachel will release her debut full length album. Her songs are soulful and quirky, while being both emotional and current. Following the release, Rachel will be touring her album in the fall with songwriter Julian Allen. Produced by Tyler Duncan, many other incredible musicians contributed to the creation of this album including Julian Allen, James Cornelison, Joe Dart, Woody Goss, Ian Finklestein, Theo Katzman, Amber Navran, Mike Green, Laura Mace, and many others. 

Rachel has performed with, recorded, or opened for many artists and bands including Vulfpeck, Matisyahu, Steve Miller Band, May Erlewine, The Suffers, Anna Ash, Benny Sings, Jacob Mann's Big Band, Julian Allen, Woman Believer, Joey Dosik, Jacob Jeffries, Theo Katzman, and many others.

Julian Allen is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and teacher based in Los Angeles, California. Julian grew up in Evanston, Illinois, where he fell in love with music, theater, and creative writing. He attended the University of Michigan, receiving a BFA in Jazz and Contemplative Studies in 2013. 

Julian has toured and recorded with many artists, primarily with Theo Katzman, Joey Dosik, Robert Hurst, Antwaun Stanley, Marcus Elliot, Jacob Jeffries, BORNS, Michelle Chamuel, Madelyn Grant, Rachel Mazer, Anna Ash, and May Erlewine. 

Julian's self - produced
debut album , "Could U Be," was released in March of 2018. "Could U Be" is a collection of songs springing from a heart summoning its resolve and its courage to go deeper within -- to discover itself, to hold itself, and to actualize itself -- and to manifest and connect with the world outside of itself.
