Quirky Queer Band Tuesday!

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Join Polythene Pam, *soft vowel sounds* (aka, Julia Serano), and Scorpio Moon for an evening of offbeat, insightful, and delightfully queer music and shenanigans.

Bring your friends! Bring you family! Call the neighbors! Release the hounds! A splendid time is guaranteed for all!

Polythene Pam are a retro vocal girl band. They queer up the classics with rich harmonies and cheeky humor, putting a poignant (pointless?) spin on old favorites. Laugh, dance, sing along — fun times guaranteed! polythenepamband.com

*soft vowel sounds* is the latest solo music project from former Bitesize guitarist-vocalist-principal songwriter Julia Serano. With *soft vowel sounds*, she offers a novel mix of deliciously percussive and dissonant guitar noises, catchy-as-hell melodies, smart yet silly lyrics, and a charming lo-fi quirkiness that evokes the spirit of early records by Liz Phair, Pavement, Guided By Voices, Beat Happening, Sebadoh, and They Might Be Giants. softvowelsounds.com

Scorpio Moon is a San Francisco based, soulful, surf-influenced garage indie pop band. Its members are Diana Regan (guitar/ukulele/vocals), Andy Thompson (bass), and Karen Hudson (drums/xylophone/vocals). They enjoy performing rituals with the crashing waves, dancing to mermaid song, and luring unsuspecting sea voyagers to their doom with genre-transcendent sounds. scorpiomoon.bandcamp.com
