The Firehouse Arts Center Theater in downtown Pleasanton presents the DMHE rock 'n roll production Queen Nation on Wednesday, August 28, at 7:30 p.m. The live concert-show celebrates and recreates the golden age of a vintage Queen concert, as led by the all-time great rock performer Freddie Mercury, arguably rock's most powerful front man to one of the most iconic rock groups in history.
Queen Nation's goal, notes founder David Hewitt, is to carry on Queen's musical torch, exposing the music to new and old fans by paying homage to the legendary rock band. In 2013, Queen Nation was recognized as "The World's Greatest Queen Tribute" by Mark Cuban, Ryan Seacrest and AXS-TV. QN was featured in a 1-hour live national broadcast from Hollywood, and have 2 tracks on the "World's Greatest Tribute Bands" compilation album produced and released by AXS-TV.
The set list for the Firehouse show includes classic songs such as We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, and many more.
Formed in 2004 by DMHE Music & Productions Agency, the band features members: Gregory Finsley on vocals and keyboards as Freddie Mercury, Mike McManus on guitar as Brian May, Pete Burke on drums as Roger Taylor, and Parker Combs on bass as John Deacon.
"The show isn't overproduced or cheesy. The artists all take pride in consistently delivering tight performances while staying true to re-creating a Classic Throwback Queen concert," says Hewitt. "I describe the show to people as just a no frills, blue-collar, in your face sonic gut punch of pure Vintage Queen rock."
Reserved seat tickets: $25 - $35.
