Promo Like a Pro - Marketing Workshop for Aspiring Illustrators

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Sketchpad (see times)
El Greco, Vermeer, and Van Gogh all died penniless and unknown. Even today, thousands of amazing artists toil away creating amazing work in relative obscurity. The fact is, there are far more amazing artists than working illustrators. Often times artists learn how to be great at their craft, but never learn the fundamentals of business or marketing. Let’s change that!
This workshop, led by Chris Koehler, offers a comprehensive marketing strategy for aspiring freelance illustrators, from portfolio creation to mailing campaigns to social media. Learn how to acquire art director contacts and use them with effective email campaigns. See a variety of promotional materials and find out what works and what doesn’t. We’ll even create a budget and timeline for marketing at a variety of levels. If you’ve ever wanted to be a professional working artist but don’t know where to start, this workshop is for you! Don’t just be a skilled artist, be a working one.
The workshop runs from 5-8PM, followed by an open portfolio review. Only forty spots are available, sign up today!
