PREVIEW SCREENING - "Chinese Whispers: Golden Gate" Performance Video

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Please join us for a special preview screening of the performance documentation video of "Chinese Whispers: Golden Gate, a Multimedia Storytelling Theater Work", at the San Francisco Chinatown YMCA on December 16, 2 pm. We are excited to bring you this video – many of you have been asking about it!
Golden Gate premiered at the Fort Mason Center for the Arts in 2016. It weaves together stories about the early Chinese communities in the Bay Area with experiences of immigrants in San Francisco Chinatown today, in a rich tapestry that connects the past with the present.
This holiday season, come and be warmed and inspired by these stories of deep hope and humanity, and come celebrate the resilient spirit of these men and women who paved the way for us today. Give a cheer to the marvelous performers who brought these stories to life on stage.
We are grateful for our community support from folks like you, and from the Chinatown YMCA, who partnered with us on the intergenerational immigrant storytelling workshops that generated many of the stories in the production.
The event is free, but registration is required. Please RSVP by December 9. Seating is limited.
