The San Francisco Housing Development Corporation (SFHDC) will celebrate 30 years of providing affordable housing, financial empowerment, supportive services and economic development to low-income communities of color at Power in Numbers - 30th Anniversary Gala & Awards Dinner.
The gala will feature a silent auction, cocktail reception, elegant seated dinner and live music. Guests will have full access to the California Academy of Sciences.
Hosted by comedian, writer and talk radio show host Brian Copeland, the event will honor individuals and organizations that have demonstrated outstanding achievement in philanthropy, the arts and locally-owned business. Among the honorees are Benard Simelton, president of the Alabama Chapter of the NAACP; Perman Hardy, community leader of Alabama's "get-out-the-vote;" Kimberly Bryant, founder and CEO of Black Girls CODE; and Sara Agah Franti, co-founder of Do It For The Love and wife of internationally recognized musician Michael Franti.
