WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS WILL:
♦ Learn how to teach the Eight Building Blocks for effective class meetings to students.
♦ Explore motivations for behavior and learn respectful, encouraging ways to be kind and
firm at the same time when faced with discipline problems,
♦ Become familiar with tools to effectively lead a classroom or mediate a conflict based on
cooperation, problem solving and mutual respect.
♦ Learn how to empower students to look for solutions and do the right thing even when
no one is looking.
♦ Acquire resources for ongoing teacher and staff support using Teacher Helping Teacher
Problem Solving Steps
Course meets qualifications for 14 hrs. CEU’s for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by
