THIS EVENT HAS ENDED
At this Portrait Party we'll gather in small groups, and everyone will take a turn sitting for their group. The first round will be 1-minute poses, followed by a round of 10-minute poses. After that, if people are up for more, they can mingle into other groups. Please be aware that artists work in a wide variety of styles from realistic to abstract, and at different skill levels. If it will make you uncomfortable to see no resemblance, or to see yourself older, alien, in unrealistic color—or in any other way not how you perceive yourself—then this party is not for you. On the other hand, if you’re curious and happy to be entertained by whatever other artists may come up with when looking at you, please join us!Exchange of actual portraits is encouraged but not required. Another option is exchange of email addresses, and sending each other photos or scans of your portraits.See the portraits we did at last year's event at Arch here: https://www.meetup.com/SF-Sketchers/photos/28668307/469137401/BRING• Your own art materials (or stock up on supplies at ARCH)• Wear distinctive clothing or hats to make it easier for people to sketch you.• Money, in case you'd like to take advantage of the 10% discount from Arch to buy some new sketching suppliesLINKSIf you enjoyed this portrait party, look into joining JKPP (Julia Kay's Portrait Party) on Flickr https://www.flickr.com/groups/portraitparty/pool/ and Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/juliakaysportraitparty/.
