MENLO PARK, Calif. -- The Portola Art Gallery presents a creative alternative to classic “Black Friday†shopping with the Allied Arts Guild After-Thanksgiving Shopping Event. Visitors can avoid noisy, crowded malls and enjoy a relaxed shopping experience at beautiful Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park, where they can sample holiday treats, view artwork created by award-winning local artists, and find one-of-a-kind gifts for holiday giving.
Participating artists and galleries include Esther Baran Artwork, Davide Bigazzi Jewelry and Joy Imai Pottery, as well as the Portola Art Gallery. Local shops will provide holiday treats, hot cider and tea to make the shopping experience even warmer.
“Small Works...Great Values†Group Show in December
Also at Portola Art Gallery during the month of December, artists will participate in the group show, “Small Works...Great Values.†Artists will showcase original works of art that are smaller in size but large on value and creativity. The diminutive original paintings and fine art photographs make owning an original piece of art easier for the first time buyer, and make wonderful gifts for those on a special gift list.
A holiday artist reception is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, from 1 to 4 P.M.
