Join us Friday, December 6th, and Saturday, December 7th from 4 to 9 p.m. for “Portals & Passages IIâ€, a joint exhibition by American painter Gregory Burns and Singaporean photographer Angie Tan-Burns exploring points of convergence and divergence found in the couple’s nomadic journey between their base in Singapore and distant lands. The mixed-media series, inspired by the power of the human spirit, combines painterly, abstract photography and bold, gestural acrylics.
The exhibition, which also includes oil and acrylic paintings, photography, and mixed-media panels, takes inspiration from international destinations, speaking to the traveler in all of us who seek to capture our own reflection in the exotic landscapes we traverse.
Gregory and Angie have collaborated for over a decade, two passionate artists working in tandem to express a single theme. The duo have traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe and America, absorbing and capturing their journey in pixels and paint. Together, they have published two books and held over 30 exhibitions in a dozen countries.
