Born in the San Joaquin Valley, raised in Salinas and currently living in the Bay Area of California. Well's career started with a box of Crayola crayons and advanced to painting 4x8 sheets of plywood and cleaning brushes for her sign maker step-father. She learned the art & craft of brush lettering, gold leafing and silk screening at his side, then earned a fine art degree in design from California College of Arts and Crafts (now CCA) in Oakland, CA. Her career has included Graphic Art, Advertising, Marketing and Logo Design, Sign Painting, Wood Sign Carving, Interior Space and Furniture Design and Planning. Her fine art career has included Watercolor, pen and pencil drawing, and oil and acrylic painting which took a backseat to her commercial career until retirement. With a few notable detours she has had more than a 50 year career in art and design.
