SEE EVENT DETAILS
The Poor House Bistro is thrilled to present an all-star triple bill with Kid Andersen, Gary Smith and others. Born and raised in Norway, Chris "Kid" Andersen moved to California in 2001 and quickly became a staple of the thriving West Coast Blues scene, performing as a sideman for such acts as harmonica legend Charlie Musselwhite, sax great Terry Hanck, harp ace RJ Mischo, and up and coming harpist and vocalist extraordinaire John Nemeth. Sid Morris specializes in traditional blues as well as boogie-woogie piano, with blues influences from New Orleans to Chicago to the West Coast and beyond. For nearly four decades, San Jose-based harmonica player Gary Smith has been an influential figure in the San Francisco Bay Area live blues scene and is considered to be the Godfather of San Jose Blues Harmonica.
