They combine eclectic, catchy tunes with rich harmonies, clever, insightful lyrics, and delightfully goofy stage antics. Laugh, dance, and sing along -- fun times guaranteed! *soft vowel sounds* is the latest solo music project from former Bitesize guitarist-vocalist-principal songwriter Julia Serano. With *soft vowel sounds*, she offers a novel mix of deliciously percussive and dissonant guitar noises, catchy-as-hell melodies, smart yet silly lyrics, and a charming lo-fi quirkiness that evokes the spirit of early records by Liz Phair, Pavement, Guided By Voices, Beat Happening, Sebadoh, and They Might Be Giants.
Scorpio Moon is a San Francisco based, soulful, surf-influenced garage indie pop band. Its members are Diana Regan (guitar/ukulele/vocals), Andy Thompson (bass), and Karen Hudson (drums/xylophone/vocals). They enjoy performing rituals with the crashing waves, dancing to mermaid song, and luring unsuspecting sea voyagers to their doom with genre-transcendent sounds.
