A sound art piece that explores the process of abstract expressionist painter Jackson Pollock through nonlinear narrative and extended vocal techniques.
Part of this year's premiere N.E.W. Festival at Counterpulse.
Matthew Marcum is an interdisciplinary performance artist that infuses text, sound, movement, and optics to create contemporary theatre productions, live art exhibitions, and conceptual installations.His current areas of research revolve around self scripting, solo and experimental performance, masculinity, mindfulness and eductation. Marcum holds an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from Columbia College Chicago, was a producing artist and company member of the Nashville Sideshow Fringe Festival and is currently completing his MFA in Theatre Performance Making at The California Institute of Integral Studies and The University of Chichester.
