A live performance by XXU & UXX
XXU & UXX present a live performance of their electronic dark ambient concept album [channel] accompanied by real-time audio-responsive generative visuals. Drawing from modern neuroscience, philosophy, and living Buddhist practice, we will activate the space and engage with the themes of the album through a participatory workshop and discussion. We will explore the tensions between remembering and forgetting, embodiment and emptiness, compassion and detachment posed by situating [channel] in conversation with the pieces in Please Forget Everything.
Bio: LeeAnn Perry is a speculative fiction writer, electronic music producer, audiovisual artist, and former neuroscientist. Amy Braun is a professor of biology with a PhD in developmental neuroscience, a Vajrayana Buddhist practitioner, songwriter and vocalist. Together they are XXU & UXX, a genre-fluid musical collaboration based in San Francisco.
