World Premiere
SFDFF invites you to join us in celebrating the world premiere of Play Serious by filmmaker T.M. Rives (Rare Birds). Rives follows the trials and tribulations of Alexander Ekman’s process creating his ambitious 2017 full-evening work Play for the Paris Opera Ballet.
Screening will be followed by a discussion and Q&A with Alexander Ekman and special guests.
Opening the program is the Bay Area Premiere of the short narrative Sirens Tango by local filmmaker Lisa Le Lievre, featuring SF Ballet Principal Dancers Sasha De Sola and Luke Ingham.
