Born Armando Christian Pérez, Pitbull initially earned the nickname Mr. 305 as a reference to his hometown Miami's area code, but has become more well-known as Mr. Worldwide to reflect his expanding appeal over the years. Beginning with his 2004 debut M.I.A.M.I., Pitbull has released 13 studio albums and four EPs, including back-to-back triple-platinum records Planet Pit in 2011 and Global Warming in 2012. On the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Pitbull has notched 10 Top 10 singles and two No. 1s with the 2011 Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer collab "Give Me Everything" and the 2013 Kesha duet "Timber." Among his 20-plus RIAA-certified platinum singles are "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)," "Time of Our Lives" with Ne-Yo and Usher's "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love." In 2016, Pitbull's ninth album Dale became his first No. 1 debut on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart and later won the Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album. Pitbull released his first independent album Libertad 548 in 2019, followed by Trackhouse in 2023 and Underdogs in 2025.
