Photography Exhibit at Los Altos History Museum

SEE EVENT DETAILS
French photographer, videographer and storyteller Maud Daujean wanted to learn more about Los Altos and the people who made it special, having lived in the town for seven years. With camera in hand, she spent a year photographing and interviewing 35 elders in the community, capturing her subject's memories of the growth of Silicon Valley, and how Los Altos managed to retain its village feel. These photographs and stories are the focus of Los Altos History Museum's exhibition "Every Wrinkle Tells a Story: Intertwining Lives," on display Feb 17 - May 8, 2022.

Local figures such as Janet and Sam Harding, Chris Nagao, Dinesh Desai and Nomi Trapnell are among the faces on display. The videotaped testimonies capture memories such as Saturday matinees at the Los Altos Theater, harvesting apricots, and the rise of Hewlett-Packard. Visitors may view the videos by scanning the QR codes on their phones.

Programs in support of the exhibition include:

o "Learn To: Portrait Photography," followed by a book signing, Saturday, Feb 19th, 10:30am

o "There's No Place Like Home," Thursday, Mar 10th, 5:30pm

o "Everything Old is New Again," Saturday, Apr 9th, 10:30am

o "60 is the New 40," Thursday, Apr 28th, 5:30pm

Events are free to the public, and will be hosted in person and on Zoom. Online registration required.
