Photography Day on the Historic USS Hornet
Calling all photographers professional and amateur!
REGISTER
On Tuesday July 9th, while we are closed to the public, the museum is hosting a photography day which will allow photographers access to photograph a historic WWII aircraft carrier.
Photo shoots are welcome with registration. Locations include the Hanger Bays, Flight Deck, Fan Tail and Focsle. This is a rare opportunity to capture the stunning views of the San Francisco Bay from our historic vessel.
*Additional locations available for an additional fee of $50.00. Please see registration to reserve.
$75.00 per 3 hour block
Block 1
10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Block 2
1:30 PM to 4:30 PM
Block 3
5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
FAQ:
Lighting and cameras are welcome for set up, but you will need to carry them onboard yourself.
Portable power sources are highly recommended since the ship has few electrical outlets in these locations.
Spaces are limited so please register in advance.
Hanger Bay Restrooms will be available for changing rooms.
Unfortunately, you can photograph the planes, but you cannot get inside them, they are museum pieces.
Parts of the ship will remain closed. Only the spaces mentioned above will be available to shoot: Hanger Bays, Focsle, Flight Deck, and Fan Tail.
