We have a new show opening on July 9th, come down to our gallery reception! Snacks and beverages will be provided!
6th on 7th Gallery provides photography workshops and exhibitions for its members - veterans and adults living below the poverty line in San Francisco, along with rotating guest artist spots.
The Show:
We are enthused to present work from visual artist Olivia Ting, whose project "Beethoven's Soundbox" (
https://beethovensbox.cargo.site/) focuses on the interior anatomy of the piano and her relationship to hearing loss, in photographs and video.
Group Shows:
Impressionism - Using slow shutters, motion blur, and atmospheric lighting to achieve dreamy images, our Members share their images based on the 19th century art aesthetics of Impressionism.
Pareidolia - Find faces or human figures in inanimate objects - astral bodies, rocks, or toast for example - has long been a feature of our need and ability to see ourselves hidden in our environment, and Members present a series of photographs showing a variety of places and things they have deciphered human features within their realms.
