Philip Glass - Koyaanisqatsi : LISTEN

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Feel Philip Glass' one-of-a-kind album like never before with 32 speakers enveloping you in the music.

This is the Philip Glass soundtrack for the film classic Koyaanisqatsi. Originally mixed for 5.1 surround sound, we have upmixed this for the 32-speaker sphere of sound in Envelop. In the Hopi language, the word Koyaanisqatsi means "unbalanced life". The film is the first of a trilogy of films expressing different aspects of the relationship between humans, nature and technology. Glass's gifted orchestrations, choruses, and excellent use of electronics, confronts the listener with moments of peace and beauty, to anxiety, aggression, and ultimately death. This is an intense and emotional immersive listening experience.

LISTEN is a series of iconic album listenings in Envelop, allowing us to be within the music.

Envelop provides general admission seats in the arrangement shown below.
