Cameron Awkward-Rich, Denise Benavides, Julian Shendelman, and James J. Siegel will read from their latest poetry collections--as will Natasha herself. She writes to document, archive, and hold space for what has been lost. Most of all, she writes for the women in her family. Her debut poetry collection Split was released in winter 2016 by Kórima Press.Natasha Dennerstein is an Australian-born poet who has an MFA from San Francisco State University. Her collections Anatomize and Triptych Caliform are published by Norfolk Press and her recent chapbook Seahorse is from Nomadic Press.Julian Shendelman splits his time between his boring desk job, organizing the Bay Area Trans Writers Workshop, and making moody zines. Julian identifies as “genre-fluid.†He was a 2016 Pushcart-nominated poet for his piece in Bat City Review. His chapbook Dead Dad Club was recently released by Nomadic Press.James J. Siegel is the author of the poetry collection How Ghosts Travel, published by Spuyten Duyvil Press. He is also the host and curator of Literary Speakeasy at Martuni’s Piano Bar in San Francisco, which brings together poets, writers, and musicians for a night of performance and martinis.
