Peninsula Women's Caucus for Art Exhibit - Visions

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Milton Marks Conference Center Galleries (see times)
Art is not always about representing the world as it exists. In this exhibition we explore unseen forces of the unconscious mind for inspiration. “Visions” allows us to record inner visions, ephemeral feelings and fantasies toward creating art works guided by these dreams and visions. It is an opportunity for our group to try experimental art or record these visions hidden in representational work. Peninsula Women’s Caucus artists Lorraine Capparell, Cosette Dudley, Kris Idarius, Patricia E. Keefe, Rebecca Lambing, Tanya Lin, Marie LaPrade, Yvonne Newhouse, Deanna Taubman, Rachel Tirosh, Leigh Toldi, and Marian Yap have shared their visions to create art for this exhibit.

About the Women’s Caucus for Art (WCA)
Founded in 1972 in connection with the College Art Association (CAA). It is a national member organization unique in its multi-disciplinary, multicultural membership of artists, art historians, students, educators, and museum professionals. WCA is committed to recognizing the contribution of women in the arts, providing women with leadership opportunities and professional development, expanding networking and exhibition opportunities for women, supporting local, national and global art activism and advocating for equity in the arts for all.
The Peninsula Chapter of WCA concentrates on providing exhibition opportunities for women artists, sharing resources and educational networking.
