Grammy-nominated violinist and composer Pauline Kim Harris performs music from her new album Heroine (Solo Luminus), a melding of ambient and classical described by New York Public Radio as an "expansive sonic experience." The album features two new works for violin and electronics - Ambient Chaconne, a reimagining of J.S. Bach's Chaconne from the Partita in D minor; and Deo, a reimagining of Johannes Ockeghem's Deo Gratias. On October 13, audiences are invited to CNMAT Berkeley for an album release concert, where Harris is joined by sound artist Spencer Topel.
