Part Time

Captivating bedroom pop with a karaoke video/soft haze filter on it that collapses the textural dimensions of music to an appealing, shiny finish. The music of Part Time owes a debt to '80s movie scores, neon lights, fog machines and nightlife, a generous sampling of New Romance in a post-capitalist world, its heart going out to everyone who hasn't abandoned their silk shirts in favor of more practical attire. The home studio shell and canned dynamics of Part Time quickly dissolve to reveal some serious jammers in the midst, the image of a man pouring his heart out into the psychotropic fronds of the lounge at the Venusian Holiday Inn. Pour yourself a yard of liquid acid and float along.

Fatal Jamz

Fatal Jamz is a self described ‘cult pop band' making records not far removed from the Sunset Strip of their idols.
Since their debut release in 2013 with Portland’s Gnar label and Burger Records, the group has toured with Smith Westerns and Sky Ferreira and released a serious of lush anthems which have resounded through the raw corridors of Los Angeles and beyond, garnering comparisons to Suede, Duran Duran and The Psychedelic Furs. Now, on the heels of their latest EP, “Obsession,” the group is readying to release their follow up this September on Lolipop Records.

Cellars

Cellars is an 80s-influnced, synth/pop project founded in 2013 by Allene Norton. Growing up, Allene was always attracted to anything musical and she began playing piano and guitar at the ages of 8 and 12. After a high school phase of writing songs on acoustic guitar and performing in coffee shops, she attended school for audio engineering. After taking classes in synthesis and remixing, she began experimenting with home recording of synth-based pop music which eventually grew into the songs of Cellars. Not only does Allene write and arrange the songs, she is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and engineers and mixes her recordings. Cellars was founded after a move to Los Angeles in 2013 in order to bring her home recordings to the stage with ex-guitarist Riley Walker. Since then, Cellars' live set has taken on many iterations ranging from solo sets to a full backing band. Influenced heavily by the music of the late 1970s and 1980s, Cellars' music harkens to the age of early digital experimentation with a modern twist. Madonna, Prince, Human League, Depeche Mode, Yaz, Debbie Deb (among other 80s latin freestyle) New Order, and YMO are all early influences.
